ABSTRACT
Epidural administration of steroids in the treatment of acute or chronic low back pain has been taking place for over 30 years. Despite this, it is still a very controversial topic. Meta-analysis studies in this regard document the effectiveness of this procedure, although they specify that sometimes very serious complications can occur. The authors report their experience in the treatment with oxygen-ozone in three cases of calcific epiduritis post epidural infiltrations with steroids sent to them due to ineffectiveness of this latter therapy.
Keywords: oxygen ozone, epidural steroid infiltration, side effects after epidural steroid infiltration, ozone therapy
